AMAZING Acquisition, the Book of Enoch!
I just acquired, tonight, R. H. Charles "Book of Enoch," the 2nd reworking of his first work, far more extensive in details and notes and comparative literatures. The real GEM in this lil baby is the Greek text as Appendix 1 of the Book of Enoch. I've never seen, let alone owned it. And it's complete with textual apparatus and Patristic citations, notes, commentary, you name it, he threw it all in here. The ultimate charmer is my local used bookstore sold it to me for a whopping $3......WOO-LUVIN-HOO!
As an added bonus to my wonderful evening, I acquired David M. Hay, "Glory at the Right Hand: Psalm 110 in Early Christianity," from the Society of Biblical Literature Monograph Series, and Frederick Field, "Notes on the Translation of the New Testament, Being the Otium Norvicense (pars tertia)." In other words I mopped up baby! GRIN!

Used bookstores are pretty cool. I picked up the entire 24-volume Encyclopedia of World War II for about $75.00 from one.

All I got at the used book stores' $1 bin were hardbacks of Ben Hur (1908), Captain's Courageous (1919, with a swastika in the front (before that was a bad symbol)), War and Peace (1943, printed in London), and a 2 books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1903, 1915). Yes I'm a gloating bibliophile.

I now must dislike you.
;)
I'm a WW2 history buff, and my best find was a paperback copy of Albert Speer's book "Inside the Third Reich" signed by him. Paid about 5 dollars for it.

The inner front page is loose, and I have NO plans on letting go of this book. I have signed WW2 books by Pappy Boyington(?) and a German ace(forgot name) who later lead the West German air force. My wife almost spent 300 dollars to get me a set of signed History books written by Churchhill, Even she said that was to much.

Would that be The Blond Knight of Germany signed by Erich Hartmann?
