Of course gender plays a role, Liz. Maybe I can post some about the crap Juanita Brooks went through, if you aren't familiar with it. I'll have time to post more in a week (oh joy!), right now I'm still doing battlefield clean up.
When I get home at night all I want to do is eat a microwaved burrito and drink a bottle of wine...

I would be very interested in hearing more about Juanita Brooks. I'm actually not familiar with it.
As far as your comment about drinking a bottle of wine with a microwaved burrito.....How far away do you live? That sounds like a killer combination to me! LOL

Brooklyn in da hizzle.
It's ok if you've got some sliced fresh tomatos, fresh cilantro and home made chili verde salsa to dress it up with. Still, its pretty much just one step up from eating dinner at 7-11 (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Drat! Now you're making me hungry for mexian food...and the closest fast food mexican I can get to during my 45 minute lunch break is Taco Bell.
Oh, the inhumanity! LOL
NC just does NOT have good mexican food. I miss California!

I'm hungry too. I'm not a fan of Tex-Mex, but I love Baja cuisine Mexican food. I miss California, too.

I love chipotle peppers. I buy the ones canned in Mexico in adobo sauce. Yummy.

Do not mock it, great burritos.....though hardly the best Mexican. But then I prefer Tex-Mex to real Mexican.
