ARGH!
My hubby promised to take me out for dinner tonight. Well, he did keep his promise, sort of - we went out for dinner at 4:30 this afternoon and had to be home by 7:00 so he could watch the Dallas Cowboys play a pre-season game. Our lives revolve around football in the fall and winter, then again during the draft in the spring, and later, training camp.
I don't mind college football; I'm a big Oklahoma University fan (OU), but pro football just bores me. Oh, well. I'm sure I can find something else to do while Tom watches football - like SHOP! He paid dearly for his football addiction last year - and I mean literally paid for it with the $$$ I blew at the mall on Sunday afternoons! Hmmm...maybe football season isn't something to dread after all!

I have never watched a football game in its enitrety, ever.
I think its incredibly boring. Give me the UFC any day. Pride fighting has merged with it I think.
Fedor Emelianenko is the current Heavyweight Champion in Pride.:

Good Lord, I'd rather watch men kiss on daytime soaps than watch that, lol!
The dude in the black shorts had love handles! On a boxer? What's up with that?! Get in shape, already, if you're going to box in tiny black shorts!
Thanks for the chuckle, Gaz. ;)

The guy in the black shorts is Fedor, and hes considered by many to be the single greatest fighter in history. Theres a video of him where the guy hes fighting suplexs him squarely on his head, and instead of going unconcious he grabs the guy in an armbar, while they are still on the ground, and causes the guy to tap out. Its incredible.
About 2 1/2 min long :

LMAO!!!!!!!!
OU will take USU to school, I've got...
OU has SEVEN National Championships! How many does USU have? Oh, that's right! NONE! How many season openers has USU won in the past few years? Just curious. :P
See you on September 15th!

So as not to derail the thread, heres Bob Sapp. He was a proffesional football player (Chicago Bears '97, Minnesota Vikings '98, Baltimore Ravens '99, and Oakland Raiders '00 ) Hes the brother of Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Warren Sapp.
Here he is fighting Mirko Filipović (born on September 10, 1974), often billed as Mirko "Cro Cop", is a Croatian law enforcement officer turned kickboxer turned mixed martial artist (MMA). His professional name comes from his membership in the Croatian police's Anti-Terrorist Group, hence "Cro Cop".

The winner of the fight breaks the other guys cheekbone.

Holy Smoke, Gaz! That black guy is HUGE! I can't believe the much smaller white man won. Totally surprised me.
Maybe I wouldn't mind so much if my husband watched games like that. It sure didn't last long!
Those damn pro football games go on for hours!

Crocop is something of a living legend.
In Mexico prefessional wrestlers (the WWE variety) are known as luchadores. The style is known as Lucha Libre. It is traditional over there to wear a mask to the ring. Theres even family lines with traditional masks. This next individual decided to throw his mask into the ring of real fighting. And wouldent you just know it, he draws Crocop.....
The fight itself begins at 4:30 into the video after they show the two parties walking to the ring. It ends roughly 60 seconds later. The slow mo replay is at about 7:55.
