An update

It's been almost two months since my episode of major depression, and I thought I'd let you guys know how I'm doing. Despite all the stress of moving and starting a new job, I think I'm doing pretty well. The medicine they have me on seems to be working. At least I haven't had any thoughts of doing myself in for quite some time (I think that's a positive development). The new job is going well, and I like the people I work with.

One problem is that I won't have health insurance until September 1. So as long as I can get through the next 3 days without any disasters, I'll be all right. I need to see a therapist to deal with the depression, but I can't do that until I have insurance. I made sure to get a 90-day supply of medicine before I quit my old job, so I have enough to get by.

I've appreciated all the support and kindness from you guys.

I am so glad things are going well, Runtu!

I have to admit, when I heard you were moving to "Happy Valley", I was worried!

Dammit, Mercury, you're not supposed to be contributing anything positive. Knock it off!

But thanks to all of you for your kindness. It's good to have friends.

He's only doing that because I told him what a dickhead he is.

There are two kinds of people:

1. Those who dislike Mercury - and admit it.

2. Those who dislike Mercury - and don't admit it.

I am very glad that everything is working out for you Runtu. The next time I pop a Wellbutrin, I will think of you.
