Just curious what your favorite TV shows are.
I don't watch much TV and I hate those goofy reality games shows, but I do really enjoy some TV shows.
My favorite is Monk. I also enjoy Psych and Dr. Who. Of course there are always the staples such as educational TV programs like Nova.

Scrubs!
I like House and Monk, too, but I find myself getting annoyed at each episode, as what really interests me is the overarching continuity, and the mysteries seem to just get in the way.
Same thing with Prison Break -- I got annoyed at the drama, I wanted to see the plan. I never started season two.
Family Guy was good till about halfway through season 5, now it's quite boring.
South park is still genius in every episode.
And sadly enough, I love all sitcoms, even the really crappy ones. Usually, whenever a sitcom comes on, I'll drop everything. Humor, after all, is quite sacred.

I'm a big fan of HBO's The Wire. I also like Lost, Bones, and Dexter. I'm a sucker for any of the Law and Order shows...if I'm changing a channel and I come across one, it sucks me in like a black hole.

Eastenders, the Shield and Big Love. I'll watch old King of the Hill and Futurama repeats. Besides Eastenders there are another couple of British series that I usually watch on BBC America: mostly detective-y type things. Oh, and I'll watch 30 Rock because I'm hot for the Baldwin. Can't get enough Baldwin. I'm having severe Baldwin separation anxiety, now I'm in SLC. For that matter I'm missing my weekly Paul Bettany sitings as well...

My kids and I love Dr. Who. Its a nice clean show we can all watch together and enjoy. And in my opinion the show gets better with every episode, its great!

In no particular order:
The Office
30 Rock
Damages
Torchwood
The Shield
Rescue Me
Desperate Housewives
Simpsons
Lost
Dexter
Big Love
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Survivor (I just can't help myself)
How I Met Your Mother (Barney rocks)
Plus I watch some of the HD nature programs from Discovery, NGC and Smithsonian with my kids. We like those, and they're purty.

While we do have a TV set and a DVD player, we have not watched any TV shows since we canceled the cable three years ago, and we did not hook the rabbit ears back up.
It has been great. Our kids are fully engaged finding things to pass their free time. Playing with friends, each other, coloring, drawing, coloring, going on walks, playing... and all are fit and trim, no chubby fat lazy couch potato kids in this family! All are doing very well in school also.
Each of them also have one sport they are involved in and one or two musical instruments. So some have 1.5 hours of music practice each night as well.
There is just no room in our family for TV watching.

I was just thinking about the show, My Name is Earl. It has a very strong religious theme of redemption.

I have a few shows I watch.
I mainly watch the news. Yes, quite exciting but I do.
I record these shows and watch them at night to pass away the insomnia hours.
House
Heroes
Lost
The Daily Show
Colbert Report
Hell's Kitchen
History Channel - when there is something I'm interested in that airs
Discovery - same as above
Southpark
Red Eye - airs at midnight on the Fox News Channel - it's stupid but that's probably why I like it
I go through stages of tv viewing.
