Yes...and it's not coincidence either. I've seen quite a few days since I've been on this board (say at least 7 to 10) where there have been hundreds of guests present throughout the day...not sure what to make of it.

I have been logged on to the MA&D board 24/7 for months. I go over and visit, look at the topics, post a response now and then. Then minimize, and when I want to go back, I am still logged on.
Here, I log on, and for random, vicious reasons known only to the softwarre, I get booted off. So I come back to the board, look around, see if there is anything I want to comment on, but during that time I am not logged on. If I want to make a post, I log back on.
Could that be an explanation?

Some of it's bots, some of it's news organizations monitoring, some of it's FAIR/MADites lurking and monitoring, some of it's curious Mormons, some of it's curious exmos, some of it's curious nevermos, some of it's registered members not logged in.
I wouldn't underestimate the number of news organizations/bloggers/etc. monitoring some of these discussion boards in the wake of Romney's run and President Hinckley's death.

Some call these processes "crawlers" or bots as the requesting machine will modify it's subsequent searches and requests based on what it retrieves from previous http get commands.
