As an early birthday present, hubby got me the new iPod Touch with his bonus. I had been looking at them for a while. I got the 32 GB.
It has the WiFi which is really cool. I can check email and web browse on it.
I love it!
:)
Does anyone else have it so we can compare notes? I know a couple of you have the iPhone.
OK, I admit, this is a totally bragging thread. I'm such a nerd. LOL
Totally Bragging--Just got the new iPod Touch 32 GB!!

I'm jealous! I still have my 20 gig generation 4 iPod. I really need to upgrade. I'm looking at the 160 gig classic. My iTunes library is pushing 60 gigs and I'm tired of having to choose what songs I want on my iPod. I haven't played around with the touch iPods, but having the internet that handy would definitely be a bonus (and maybe a curse).

Congrats liz! Those things are sweet. My bro. let me borrow his a couple weekends ago. The wireless internet is awesome! Kinda big and clunky to carry around as a regular music ipod though (say for working out). But i'd make do. ;)

I have a small iPod shuffle with 2 GB that I use for working out. It's convenient because it just clips onto whatever you're wearing, and it's really durable.
I use the iPod touch more for when I'm waiting somewhere, or in Sacrament Meeting. ;)

Yeah. It's a little bit of both. If you're in a WiFi place, and you're bored, you can go into I-Tunes and download songs. Before I knew it, I had spent $20.00! LOL

Ha, yeah, I took it to SM. I was disappointed though, that the church hasn't installed wireless internet yet. I guess they're always behind the technology curve though.

You need an iPhone to do that.
32GB, hell 32 Terabytes ain't gonna do you a lick of good if you have no wifi.
AT&T Edge network gets you on the web from just about anywhere. Can you imagine posting on Shady Acres WHILE slumped down in a Mormon pew during sac meeting? That would be fab...
in my opinion, an 8 GB iPhone is waaay better than ANY iPod touch.

I'm a movie and music nerd, though. ;) I've already got 15 GB of videos and music loaded on it! LOL
You have the iPhone, though? My brother just got it, and he really likes it. Have you noticed any bugs or had any problems with it, or is it pretty stable?
I thought about getting it, but I would have to switch cell phone services, and it's too expensive for me to do that right now until my contract is up. I have 3 lines on our current service, and it costs $200 per line to terminate the contract early. Damn, SunCom! I'm not really all that thrilled with them, but I'm kind of stuck at the moment.
Edited to add---You've got to admit, there IS something decadent about watching a "Sex and the City" episode on your iPod at Church. ;)
