Did you feel that earthquake? Apparently it was 4.4 on the ricter scale. It was tiny, but gosh, I have never felt an earthquake before. Gollygosh. My room was actually moving. Jeepers. The epicentre was supposidly in Hull according to a friends mum. But I know it has gone as far as Manchester and nottingham. I automatically thought of God. I guess in some part of me, I believe.

All us girls from the flats got together just afterwards. We were talking about being prepared. One girl found it rather exciting. I was scared. I mentioned about the tree that fell down blocking the bus route today so we couldn't get the bus into our accomodation. Another girl said that it was bending over and another girl said that the tree knew it was coming and thought "stuff this" and gave up. And all of them talked about the tree falling over being the start. All the car alarms had gone off in the car park.

Pirate, glad you're alright. Did anything break in your room?

They're sort of exhilarating and frightening all at once? They always got my adrenalin pumping. Glad you're okay. :)

Hey Pirate!
Yeah, I felt it. It didn't feel particularly strong where I was. It was weak enough that I was wondering what was actually going on. But yeah - the room distinctly was shaking for about 10 seconds or something like that.
It was probably stronger where you were I guess. Sounds like everythings OK with you?

You'll have to excuse us about getting excited about an earthquake - we don't get many over here :)

Do you remember the one about 3-4 years (Or maybe longer) ago Pirate? I remember that one being shorter, and felt more like a wave had passed through the room...

Oh, and yeah - to be honest - you should have started this in Off-topic really. I would have spotted it... :)

This is the first time I have ever experienced an earthquake.
My room was shaking. It kinda shaked then there was a pause and it shaked again. It is actually really quite scary. How can UK have earthquakes if we are in the middle of a plate?

Well, rather than look it up on google and copy the reason in as if I know, I'll admit that I have no bloody idea...!

Look up Stevenage - that's where I am. According to that, I got an average intensity of 3 where I am.
I couldn't see Hull :/ Where is nearest to you on that list?
