Did you know that mirror neurons were discovered when monkey brains were hooked up to neural imaging. The monkeys would reach for a peanut and a lil portion of their brain would react to them reaching for this peanut. Later in the lab a man walked up and picked up the peanut (this was not planned out) and the same lil portion of the monkey's brain lit up as if the monkey ITSELF was reaching for the peanut. Mirror neurons are called the Monkey See, Monkey Do neurons in slang terms.
