What's the deal on Shutterfly? And...

Post by _Jersey Girl »

how is it different from:

Kodak Easy Share

or

Ordering pictures online from Wal Mart or other stores?

What do each of these services have to offer? Can someone contrast and compare these for me?

Here they are again:

Shutterfly
Kodak Easy Share
Ordering pictures on line from Wal Mart or other stores.

Thanks!

I actually like Winkflash. If I recall correctly, it's got the best prices, the prints are excellent quality, and they are sent to your house pretty quickly.

Plus now they have the highest DPI (or so they say - I'm a sucker, I believe them).

I'd do that over Shutterfly or Wal-Mart.

You simply upload the pix, select the size you want, and off you go. We've used them exclusively for almost 6 years now.

Thanks, skippy! For prints, I usually just take my memory card over to Wal Mart and print out a few myself. I'm just curious about all of these services, how they work and why I might need them!

For me, with the price of gas, the shipping is usually cheaper than the cost of driving to pick up prints. Plus I don't have to wait in line or anything. And the quality really is good.

The price of gas is such a good point, skippy. I hadn't thought of that!

My wife says that she has not been happy with the results and says that the color seems to be off when she gets her pictures back.

But she does say that that could just be Walgreens fault and not shutterfly.

Okay, so maybe Shutterfly isn't such a good deal.

p.s. I'm sad that you thought I was making fun of you on the other thread. :-(

Check my responce to the other thread, I wasn't clear in what I said : )

give the shutterfly a try and just test it one time for yourself.

Okay, I read it earlier and for some reason, it didn't sink in. Thanks, I just didn't want you to think I would make fun of you. I'll be doing more prints in summer (binge scrapbooking!) and I think I'll try some of these things.
