If you were drinking with some friends... or room mates, and they decided to leave the house... and you couldn't convince them not to drive... would you call the cops? Do nothing?

I would pray to the all-powerful Eloheim that no harm or accident would befall them, in the name of thy son, Jesus Christ, amen.

I'd probably call them a taxi or find someone sober to take them wherever. If that was a no go I'd probably hide their keys -- I hate, hate, hate to interfere with other people, yet, I would definitely intervene in a case such as this.

I agree with Moniker. I'd hide their keys. If they pitched a fit, I'd say, "If you're too drunk to find your keys, then you're took drunk to drive."

At a local hardware store you can pick up a device called a Schrader Valve Repair Tool. This can be used to remove the schrader valve from their tires, deflating the tire without actually doing any damage to it.

When all are good and sober simply use your air compressor to fill the tires back up again.

I would hope they would have the common sense not to be involved with individuals devoid of a backup plan in case they get realy screwed up.

their poor lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on your part. But that being said I would do everything I could to convince them to stay.

In my perfect world, officers that pulled over a dunk driver would have full authority to execute them on site.

I'll bet the drunk driving would drastically reduce in this country, yes?

I am absolutely floored that something as dangerous as driving drunk doesn't land you several years in jail. Well, ok, maybe not because then all the lawmakers would have to abide by it as well.

If I went into a crowded mall and started randomly firing bullets, I'd be thrown in jail for decades. Even if I was lucky and didn't kill anyone. How, exactly is this any different than a drunk driver??

When I have friends that are over and planning on drinking, I will ask then what the driving scenario is before they even have the first drink.

I get em even more shitfaced, then dress them up in garments and take pics of em to be used at a later date.
