For this you need:

An old candle jar from which you've removed labels and wax residue. The kind I'm using looks like this with the lid removed:

I'm sure these would work as well:

A hot glue gun.

And I bought a bag of multi color flat stones from Wal Mart (in the silk flower section) for $1.97:

All you do is randomly hot glue the flat aquarium gem stones all over the outside of the glass candle jar. The color of the stones I used in the multi color bag are : clear, ruby red, and pink/peach color.

I've already decorated 4 jars from one $1.97 bag of decorative stones. The stones can be removed by prying them if you need to change the placement so be careful how you handle the jar once it's done. The stones will come off if you inadvertently knock it against something.

Enjoy!

A couple of hints.

The stones vary in size and are round and oval shapes. Try not to make a uniform pattern, don't over think what you're doing, just do it. If you want to reposition a stone, just pry it off with the end of a spoon and peel off the hot glue.

Possible uses: Mine are going to be used for tea lights but you could also fill them with cotton balls/makeup remover pads/cotton swabs, bath fizzies, jars with tops could be filled with bath salts, in your office/studio for office supplies such as paper clips.

Are we going to get a photo of the finished product?

I don't think so! I don't have a way to do it. They're really pretty though and a good way to re-use the candle jars.
