Blog help
I just noticed that every deleted entry in my blog was added back. And I can't seem to delete them again.
Also it took me forever to find the blog control panel so I could make sure that no one could read the blog until I fixed it---the door was hanging open.
I also can't figure out how to delete my blog entirely now, which at this point is what I think I want to do.
---UPDATE----Keene fixed it for me, but I'm leaving my original message in case others need to think about their blogs.
Thanks Keene!

Re: Blog help
From what I can tell...
The new blog system sees all the old posts there, but it's just not yet aware who they belong to. I wasn't able to edit or delete my own posts until after I posted a new one of my own, then all the old posts became available to me. Try it out if you have any problems, and let me know if that works for you.
Also, all the BBCode in all the old posts will no longer work -- the old blogging system did it in a really weird way. You'll have to edit it and re-do any BBCode to fix it up.
I'm hanging out in the chat room if anyone else has any questions.

I was able to edit my old Blog entry just now, don't know why it changed. Thanks for the help Keene, and nice job on the forums.

Quick question: How do I get the "View Blog" link to appear next to my avatar like it does for yours, Keene?

Have you posted any new blog posts yet?
The database has the old posts, but it doesn't have the /count/ of the old posts, if that makes sense. Post a new one and it should put the link there.

I had lots of pictures uploaded -- are they gone? I, unfortunately, had put up pictures in my blog that I don't even have anywhere else. Were they lost with the upgrade?

What do you mean it's not aware who they belong to? I just want to know one thing. If I go into the UserCP and click on blog, then click on blog permissions, then set it so no one can read does that mean I'm in the clear and no one can see them? I have SEVENTY TWO pages in my Book of Mormon account!

Well, technically. They're all still there in a folder somewhere, it's just the links TO them won't work anymore.

Make another post, and it should then be able to match all the old posts with the new one. That's how it worked with me at least. Once that's up, you can set the permissions and it should apply to all your old posts.

Re: Blog help
Another blog question. It seems like all of my blog entries were made public! I had many entries that I had only available to myself, and I'm embarrassed if anyone saw them, lol. I went through and made them private again, just now.
It will be confusing getting it all straightened out, it seems.

yeah, just a bit. I'm sorry about all that.
The old system was so dramatically different from the new system that the only real things I could save were the posts themselves, and even that was a miracle. Anything about the posts, like time it was posted, permissions, whether BBCode was enabled -- all gone.
This new system will run a lot faster though, and with a lot less of the headache from the old one (like Shoutbox and Trackback spams).
