My dear fishy friend - have you had the chance to hear
this?
Cheers,
Skippy

Skippy: I apologize for eavesdropping on this thread. I forever forgive your disdain for Burt Reynolds' toupees. There is a special place reserved in heaven for Wilco fans (even Wilco fans who are SF Giants fans). I'm loving this new song. Did you see that they're playing in San Fran on the 24th?

Heh.
Yeah - I saw the concert date. I've got 2 little kids, though - not too many concerts on my immediate horizon.

I see how you are, Skippy. You made it to a stinky Rush concert, but can't get a sitter for Tweedy.
Meh.
I found a sitter for the Wilco concert in Tulsa on March 8th. I left all the girls but my oldest. She attended the concert with me, and snapped this (admittedly bad) pic of us there together:

OK, KA: I'll now incriminate myself further - ready?
I can't make it to SF for Wilco, but on the 29th I've been cajoled into heading to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk to see the Tubes in honor of a friend's birthday. Although at this time I don't have a confirmed sitter, so it may not work out. But in general it's easier to get a sitter on a Friday night rather than a Sunday night on the day before school starts for my oldest. So that's how my sad little parental life goes.
There - I've exposed my shame for all to see.
(Besides, the Rush concert was AWESOME!)

Santa Cruz!! Can we talk about the Boardwalk? Santa Cruz is one of my favorite places in the world. This
song (one of the best ever written) makes me want to hop on a plane out there right now.

I've got four kids. I understand sad little parental lives.
If I were close by, I'd watch the kiddos for you. My kids plus yours would result in some crazy explosive weirdness! "Dr. Butt, meet Butt Trunk."
I do hope you go to the Tubes concert with your friend. It sounds like a blast.
And I'm with Silentkid--I want to hop a plane to Santa Cruz, too!
KA
PS. SK, I'd not heard that song until just now! It's nice.

Be careful what you wish for - I may just fly two little monkeys off to you!
Actually, I don't think the world would survive if our children interacted - I fear the combined impishness and wackiness would reach epic proportions of a kind unseen in the history of the planet.
I haven't been to the Boardwalk proper in a while - I hope I can make it, too.

Never heard it. Thanks for the link!
Lots of weird chord changes. I dig it a lot.
I'd love to hear how this has evolved at the recording stage (if they ever actually release it, punks).
Thank You, Skippy!
