To Moniker, Blixa, and other interested parties

On another thread, Jersey Girl wrote:

Jersey Girl wrote:Now, ask yourself how much intellectual vomit you yourself would be willing to slog through to find a topical post of interest around here?

Then I responded:

Dr. Shades wrote:You don't have to slog through any if you don't want to. If you find a particular poster to be annoying, just click on his or her profile and click on "Add Foe." From then on, that posters's posts will be invisible to you.

The two of you have expressed dissatisfaction with the way others have chosen to interact on this board. Well, now you can effectively "tune out" any posters you wish.

Hopefully that will serve as a way to "fine tune" the board so that it better serves your needs and/or is more to your liking.

I don't know. I'm an administrator, so you may not be able to.

There's an easy way to check, though: Click on this link, and if you see the "add friend | add foe" dialogue, then yes, you can do so.

Ah, man. It had the links, but after confirming that I wanted to do it I got:
You cannot add administrators and moderators to your foes list.

Then when I tried to make myself my own foe, I got:
You cannot add yourself to the foes list.

But then I tried being my own friend:
You cannot add yourself to the friends list.

I was able to add Dr. Shades to my friends list.

For more kicks, I added Nehor to my friends list and then attempted to add him to my foes list as well:
You cannot add users to your foes list who are on your friends list.
And likewise:
You cannot add users to your friends list who are on your foes list.

I've never had a friend before, I think I'm going to cry.

You can be my imaginary friend if you want.

I must be feeling cranky today - my foe list is filling up faster than the friend list.

Wait a minute. If I foe everyone then I'll see only my own posts. As perception creates reality I will then be the only person on the boards. Logically this means that the boards are in fact mine.

I have absolute control and absolute power.

UNLIMITED POWER!!!!!!!

Wow, this is the happiest day of my life.....well except for the day I invented the Internet.
