Alright, how about this: the era of easy credit for America has died. The 700 billion bailout will have to be repaid. Social Security is in trouble as Boomers (such as yourself) are retiring--the government borrowed from that to fund other projects. That means taxes will go up--either that or your generation will be short on social security.
