Not if John McCain vetos any attempt by the Pelosi house to raise them, or unless he attempts to raise them himself, which he has promised not to do (I'll take him at his word once).

There is no rational, economic reason whatever to raise taxes, none.

After he destroys the American health care system by doing to it what has been done to it in Canada, the U.K, and other western European countries?

Alright, how about this: the era of easy credit for America has died. The 700 billion bailout will have to be repaid. Social Security is in trouble as Boomers (such as yourself) are retiring--the government borrowed from that to fund other projects. That means taxes will go up--either that or your generation will be short on social security.

It's always been rather clear that droopy lives somewhere over the rainbow.
