But somehow when it comes to race based aid / scholarships / hiring, being half-G still gets you a lot further than being fully H.

In fact, it is my understanding that a lot of slaves in the south back in the day were half H because the slave owners would produce children with their female slaves, but then would treat those chlidren as slaves too.
