when will it stop?

Chris Buckley, Colin Powel, Scott McCleland!! and more.

Republican Governor Arne Carlson writes, “The choice of Gov. Sarah Palin as a running mate, and the resultant shallow campaign based on fear and suspicion, looks frighteningly similar to the politics of Karl Rove. Sen. Barack Obama arrived on the political scene as a wind of freshness, unity and idealism. He saw America as it could be if we reached across all divides. This long, grueling campaign has revealed a remarkably disciplined and focused leader who has the potential to become a truly great president.”

I predict more surprise Obama endorsements soon.

It's not really surprising that well-respected, thinking republicans are voicing their support for Obama. What is surprising is that more haven't.

All that constant negative campaigning can be a real turn off for some voters. Those with a conscience do not like to see their party's candidate running a smear campaign.

Endorsing Obama simply indentifies one as a Republican who doesn't think but leaves when the going gets tough (or as a black person voting for a black person because they're black).

This Republican clearly Endorses U.S. Senator John McCain for U.S. President, and he will be voting for U.S. Senator John McCain for President.
