Upper limit for the rich

Obama fans, please tell me up what's the limit above which Obama will not give you a tax cut. $250K has dropped progressively to $200K, $150K and is now $125K. The truth is that with Obama's big plans for spending increases combined with the stock market delines reducing capital gains receipts, everyone with an income greater than around $50K will get a tax increase under Obama. Bill Clinton promised a middle class tax cut which disappeared when he became president. The same thing will happen with Obama.

I'm not a big fan of Obama, but I have no delusions about getting a tax cut myself.
I'm also no fan of telling the rich that they should pay more without being willing to pay more myself.

Interesting question Richard. I can't answer that question, but I can say something about the lower limit. Obama is going to let the fairly substantial Bush tax cuts sunset in two years, and this means a heavy tax hike beginning at around $42,000 a year, not the phony as all beef bologa $250,000 number. He's also going to raise capital gains taxes. Small business (and forget the flat footed lies he's been telling his faithful sheeptoids that most small business in this country make less that $250,000 a year; the exact obverse is the reality, and many small businesses that make well over that number file taxes as individuals) are going to get hit and hit hard.
Obama wants to spend a
trillion new dollars in government largess to the faithful masses. Where is the money going to come from? The top 5% of taxpayers? Please.

couples making $250,000 or more or singles making more than $200,000
Go ahead and adjust it down Mr. m Obama. I don't care. Let's just recall Bush senior's campaign chant "read my lips". (ya, he raised taxes but the right doesn't fault their own party see)

I'm not sure many leftist care if Obama adjusts it down either. It makes me wonder why he felt pressured to make those $250k statements. The line I always got from leftist was that everyones taxes need to go up and they would go up the most for the rich, but everyones will go up.
Taxes also seem to have steadily risen just as government has steadily expanded. Once the government gets involved, it doesn't just leave after it's no longer needed. Income tax was once unconstitutional. Sectionalism was a founding principle of the United States. Now these ideas are radical and beyond debate.

The Obama campagin lied about the 250K so they could show ads promising to cut taxes for 95% of the population. They clearly would lie about anything to get him elected. That's change you can believe in!

And what is wrong with this tax?
Rich people shouldn't have to pay taxes?
Why, because Bush spent the last 8 years burning money like a 16 year old with her daddy's Mastercard?
The money needs to come from somewhere.

A penny saved is a penny earned. If the government doesn't spend as much money, it won't need as much money.
I'm not saying that the government shouldn't spend any money nor tax us at all. I'm saying that I don't think it's been particularly responsible with money, and that includes Bush and his expensive war.

Obama should have been honest in his campaign ads (tax cuts for 95% of the people - right). I realize that this would have been a difficult shift from the way he normally acts.
