Leftists colluding with Islamists

Liz wanted some examples of Leftists colluding with Islamists, an assertion that I've made a few times. One of the most disturbing results of Leftists colluding with Islamists to purge Conservatives from power was in Iran. After Leftists helped rid Iran of the American-backed Shah, Islamists quickly set about purging Iran of Communists and Socialists, to include quite a few homosexuals, intellectuals, artists, feminists, and others considered to be among the most "progressive" in society.

While the Shah was responsible for nearly 3,000 poitical deaths, the Islamists killed over 300,000 secularists within two years. It was, in a word, horrific.

Brown has attempted to win favor with Arab states by stressing they have not been represented enough on international bodies and promising them a seat at the table amid discussions by world leaders "grasping toward new world order."

"I believe that your country has a crucial role to play and your voice must be heard," Brown told business leaders in Saudi Arabia.

The strings that are attached to the money he wants from the Saudis, especially the ones with over links to terrorists, come with a heavy price. It's stunning that a leader from the West would look to get involved with people who feel it's their moral obligation to wage jihad.
