What an emotional night! I didn't believe Obama could pull off such a big victory. This is the first time I actually stepped up to volunteer a little for a political campaign. I was amazed by the deep commitment so many young people on the Obama campaign demonstrated. They worked long hours for months on end, missing lots of sleep, missing meals. The young woman who put voters in my car this evening had made it through the day on a single iced coffee. It was a privilege to work with these young people the few hours I did. They were truly inspiring.

I have to say that I was also very impressed with McCain's concession speech. He showed real statesmanship.

It sums up pretty well one of the important differences between McCain and Palin. I can totally believe that McCain knew about that historic visit on his own, whether he or his speechwriters thought of using it. Palin? Not so much.
