Scottie and Pokatator:
Here are Dr. Shades' four rules for spotting a spam-bot with 100% accuracy:
- Is it a brand-new screen name with no previous history on this or any other board?
- Is the poster's first post a new thread, as opposed to joining a conversation already in progress?
- Does the opening post have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the subject matter of the board?
- Does the post or signature contain links to commercial items with absolutely no relation to the subject matter of the board?
"Evarfacceda" is 4 for 4 in that list. Therefore, the probability of "Evarfacceda" being a spam-bot is exactly 100%.
Just follow Dr. Shades' four rules for spotting a spam-bot with 100% accuracy, and you, too, will be able to spot spam-bots with 100% accuracy.

Ahhh... I missed the product ad in the siggy. It would sure be nice if there were a buffer between the post and the google ad.
<-- feels like a chump now.

Whatever happened to sending blatant spam to the outer darkness forum?

The problem occurs when people respond to it. If you just click on the little red exclamation point in the bottom right and report it, its taken care of, but when people respond to the spam and post after it, it makes things difficult for the mods.

Well, that's just a sad excuse for an explanation. Moderation was a lot better in my previous bout of visitation.
