Deer, just go away!

Not a few minutes ago the Pugs started to bark wildly. One starts and the other joins in because if you're a Pug, it's the cool thing to do. I mistakenly thought they heard a car and thought their "Alpha Pug" drove up. So, I took them outside to see that he wasn't here and for a little, you know, potty break to chill them out.
On the way back in, I saw what one had been barking at. There is right now a herd of oh 12 mule deer in the front "yard". Okay, it's really not a yard, it's more like "property". I'm talking big deer, huge racks, the whole nine yards.
Dear deer, you know I love to watch you grazing on the property but this needs to stop! Please go away! Go away now, before I am driven insane by barking, howlers!
Knock it off, Pugs!
Thanks ever so much,
Jersey Girl

Our deceased Berci (a labrador, with 1/4 or 1/8 Hungarian pointer blood, who has got to us from the street...) was little trained ( I don't like over-disciplined dogs).
Among the few command he obeyed was "silence" and "bark".
And, the most useful was "open the door"...

Jersey Girl are you just being weird today, or what?
Oh well.

Did the pugs try to chase the deer when they were outside? If so, how did the deer react?

No, I wasn't being weird. I was venting. I was 10 minutes to leave for the airport with one pug, my house was surrounded by mule deer and I had to figure out how to smuggle one of the pugs out to the car without being pounded on by mule deer.
It was all real. Welcome to my little rustic world!

Okay, here are some insights into pug behavior. One pug was in the great room and could see the deer, so she started barking. The other pug never saw the deer from the house, she just started barking because that's the cool thing to do if you're a pug.
I never noticed the deer until we were outside.
When we got outside, the first pug apparently forgot all about the deer and they both did their outside stuff. When I turned around *I* saw the deer and got the pugs inside.
Then I started freaking out and wrote the OP.
by the way, I posted this in the Telestial because I categorized it as a rant.
???
(The second pug, had she seen the deer would have definitely tried to chase them all. She's just dumb like that!)
