How does this help the GOP? Given the propensity of many traditionally Democratic voters to vote for someone merely because they're young and/or good looking, they will be absolutely mesmerized by this into voting for the GOP ticket. A few with a slightly higher I.Q. will worry about a 70 year-old socialist clown being a heartbeat away from the presidency. Those with normal to high I.Q.'s will vote GOP just on the issues.
The Democrats have an absolute lock on the long dead and the brain dead. No way the GOP can compete for those constituencies.
