Obama causes Martian Invasion with his Curiousity Rover

PARVO CITY, SOUTH CAROLINA - Angered by the recent incursion of the Obama Curiousity rover designed to spread liberal facist Muslim ideas to the red planet, the Martians have vowed that, unless all Republican demands to reduce the federal budget and eliminate all taxes on the wealthy are met, they will launch a full scale invasion.

Ha! You should have seen the Obama administration pukes take personal credit (for Obama) for the success of the Curiosity rover in the meeting just after the landing. They essentially said to all the engineers and scientists involved in the program "You didn't build that. It was provided by Obama's munificent hand." Of course neither of them actually used the word "munificent"; too illiterate.

Yes, the Curiosity Rover is just another example of what the free enterprise system can do when unshackled from the bonds of government.

Not really. There's almost no market for this type of space exploration. The private sector can do it faster, cheaper, better. Private sector engineers and scientists tend to be of much higher quality and ability as measured by salary. NASA also relies on the private sector far more than they used to; thus generating a market.
