No Trump defenders left ...?

Over the last few weeks, as Trump has made it more and more clear what kind of president he is going to be, I have noticed a falling off of activity amongst those who celebrated his election so gleefully.
Could it be that the FBI saying (in effect) "Those tweets? He's just pulling those out of his sphincter. There's no evidential backup", plus the Russia links probe, plus the "who knew healthcare was so complicated" farce and so on and so forth has finally disheartened those who assured us that Clinton would be the end of civilisation as we know it, and generally much, much worse in every way? (I mean, those emails...)
Come on. Somebody out there say something good about him ...?
I mean, at least he .... what?

At least he might yet be even more divisive to the Republicans than expected. He's getting into an uncomfortable place with even the sacred Fox News.

A falling off where? In the general public? Media? This board? Overall?

According to the latest polling, his approval rating (amongst Republicans) is above that of Reagan during the same early presidency period.

Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Is In The ToiletHe hits a new low: 37 percent, the worst in 72 years of polling for a young presidency.
President Donald Trump’s latest approval rating has sunk to a new low, according to the latest Gallup poll.
Only 37 percent of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing, and 58 percent disapprove, the daily poll found Sunday. Those are the worst ratings since he took office eight weeks ago. His approval rating stood at 45 percent just nine days ago.
Trump’s approval rating is lower than any other president at this point in his first term since Gallup started tracking the numbers 72 years ago in 1945. Barack Obama’s rating at this point in his presidency was 60 percent.

After the first few weeks his supporters were extremely excited, and after everyone was freaking about some of the stuff he was doing his supporters started sharing memes like, "It is nice to finally have a politician keep his promises." To which I'd respond with something like, "You mean like promising to give over his tax returns"? It doesn't really take much to such these people up. They're left with nothing and for that reason most of them have to revert to the usual "But Hillary..." or "But Obama...." tangent. And as each day goes but there seems to be yet another stupid thing he's either said or done.

If Trump ever stops antagonizing the public, his popularity numbers are highly likely to rebound. Economic performance numbers have a fairly strong predictive relationship with job approval numbers. The economy is solid right now. It would not at all be surprising for Trump's approval numbers to rebound into at least pretty decent if his administration went dark for a little while. If you're going to crow about them being low, be prepared to have that thrown back at you when they climb.

Well, obviously economic performance doesn't Trump his antagonism, just look at his numbers in spite of the economy. But what in Trump's history gives you the idea he is even capable of ceasing his antics and antagonizing the public? And I wasn't crowing, I was just pointing out a fact that he has the lowest approval rating of any new President in our lifetime.
And when he throws millions of Americans off their healthcare, he's going to lose big with a significant chunk of his base.

The ACHA has a long way to go to get passed. In its current form, it is highly unlikely ever to see Trump's desk. Until recently, only a slight majority of
Democrats correctly believed that the ACA increased the number of insured people in America. You are vastly underestimating the public's ability to be ill-informed and fall victim to disinformation where attribution is concerned.
Trump got it together for the final days of the election in terms of stopping tweeting horrific things. You have to remember that the public's political memory is very shallow and very short. If his handlers are able to persuade him to knock it off a few months before the 2018 election and economic numbers remain good, you probably will see his approval numbers strengthen considerably. Hey, that's possible. Just don't be so sure that it will only go down from here. It's kind of amazing that it is as bad as it is given the fundamentals, but those fundamentals could eventually take over.
