Happy Thanksgiving Paradise People

Hello Folks!
We here at the Jersey Homestead are about to call it a night having spent most of the day tying up loose ends for a tribal gathering tomorrow. Whew! We've got a big day planned, good food, some folks coming who have never been here for Thanksgiving before, and all the usual suspects...and their dogs.
Get dolled up if you like, come in your sweats, we don't care if you show up in your jammies, so long as you get comfortable and feel at home. We basically throw open the door and take whatever we get around here! People come and eat, they sleep, and then we eat again. I like to pretend this is my personal ski lodge, though there are no skis in sight. Okay, there's a hill slide in the snow out front. That and a random sled is as close as we get to ski lodge around here. ;-)
I know that this holiday isn't wonderful for some of you. I can never forget about you and all my friends on the ground who are dealing with illness, loss or letting go. We've stayed in those places. I don't forget how it was. I don't forget about you. You're the reason I write these things. I know some of you guys will be lurking around here tomorrow to pass the time. I did the same thing.
I don't want you to go without a greeting.
I hope that someone brings comfort to you. I pray that you feel supported. Those small moments when something feels better or your mind shifts focus for even a short while, those are tiny bridges that will help you walk your path.
All of you have a good day tomorrow, eat, sleep, find a little patch of peace and camp on it. Pick up the phone and call someone who needs a call.
