Left-wing billionaire and activist Tom Steyer said Monday that President Donald Trump could still be impeached even if special counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence that Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign coordinated or colluded with the Russian government.

Steyer told David Catanese of U.S. News & World Report that Trump could still be impeached for “election fraud” for “lying to Congress through Michael Cohen”:

The billionaire and founder of the “Need to Impeach” movement against Trump confirmed in a Monday afternoon tweet that Trump “committed eight additional impeachable offenses” unrelated to Mueller’s report:

Steyer outlined those eight additional offenses on the “Need to Impeach” website, claiming that Trump committed impeachable offenses such as “undermining the freedom of the press” and “cruelly and unconstitutionally imprisoning children and their families” that were not listed in the Mueller report.

The left-wing billionaire previously called for Attorney General Bill Barr to release the full contents of the Mueller report, telling his supporters Friday that Trump “participated in crimes” while serving as president.

Steyer is not the only left-wing activist claiming Trump lied to Congress through Cohen.

Attorney Michael Avenatti, a former lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels and one of Trump’s most vocal antagonists, tweeted Sunday that Trump “colluded with Michael Cohen to violate the law and commit crimes”:

Federal prosecutors charged Avenatti with extortion on Monday for allegedly threatening to damage Nike’s reputation unless the company paid him more than $20 million.

Don't lose hope EAllusion. You still might be able to overturn the election of 2016 even if there were no Russian collusion, at least according to left wing billionaire activist Tom Steyer. You might even be able to criminalize populist nationalistic political views and opinions once you get rid of DJT. You'll need to do so in Europe as well. I hear there are still people there who love their own country. You've got to put a stop to that.

Trump supporters don't love their own country (except perhaps those Trump supporters in Russia, Turkey, China and Saudi Arabia)

As opposed to Obama sending pallets of cash to Iran in support of their slogan of “DEATH TO AMERICA”

[Shades, you really should post a sign here: “No Shooting The Fish In The Barrel”]

True. They love a fantasy version of their own country.

Tell them there will be tax incentives if they love it, that will change their minds.

I wish I could say I did. At one time I would have gladly fought and died for this country. But I don't see us as a nation anymore. A nation of people doesn't let foreigners flood the border and impose increasingly heavy taxes upon its citizens to bear the cost of it because it wins their party "cheap" votes at the expense of the citizens. This would be considered treason at any other point in history. And I do see American liberal economic and political elites as a worse enemy to me, my paycheck, and my liberty than Putin, China, or any foreign power because they are. I don't see the deep states efforts to overturn the results of the 2016 election through leaking, sabotage, and whatever it might take to stop Trump's agenda that campaigned and won an election on as democracy or rule by the people. The interests of the deep state and the voter is completely at odds with each other to the point that we're not really a nation united by common interests.

Only the ‘liberal’ economic and political elites, right? ; )

You need to learn your history. The US today is much more restrictive today then it has ever been in letting people come in. In the past you just needed a heart beat and you were in. Some though didn't like groups like the Irish coming over.

This sounds like someone who listens to too much Rush and Hannity. None of that is really true.

Hannity promoted the idea that there is a "deep state" – a network of individuals within government that is working to hinder the Trump administration. He has described the deep state as a "Shadow Government" and "Deep state swamp of Obama holdovers and DC lifers".[128][129] In March 2017, he called for a "purge" of Obama-era bureaucrats and appointees in government.[130] In an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal, conservative columnist Bret Stephens disputed Sean Hannity's deep state allegations, saying they were an example of the "paranoid style in politics".[131] Later that month, Hannity said that NBC News was part of the deep state.[132] In May 2017, he reiterated that deep state/intelligence operatives were trying to destroy the Trump presidency.[133]

In March 2018, Hannity attacked Special Counsel Robert Mueller, saying that his career was "anything but impeccable."[134] Hannity asserted that Mueller was friends with former FBI Director James Comey and current Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and that he "cannot be expected to honestly investigate scandals that his friends are directly involved in."[135] He said that these individuals were involved in "one massive, huge, deep-state conflict of interest after another. Now they're protecting themselves. They're trying to preserve their own power."[115]
