That's probably more times than they've mentioned Trump.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is awesome.

She makes Trumpettes cry, and we've learned from right wingnuts that all that matters is making your opponents cry. Who cares about governing, as long as your leaders piss off the other side?

As the Republican Party's main media component, Fox News is doing their job by attempting to demonize opponents. Back in 2001 Fox News ran a continuous story about Rep. Gary Condit (D-California) 24/7 for several weeks.

FOX has quite literally said they're terrified of her.

I don't watch FOX News because it's not my cup of tea. That said, 2020 is a big deal for Conservatives, and they require a central theme to enegize their base. They're already unified around things like not tearing or vacuuming developing humans out of a woman's womb, not spending tax monies on fat sows and ne'er do wells who pump out more mouths to feed, not paying billions for illegal immigrants who gobble up their taxes at hospitals, schools, and jails, and defending America against cave dwellers who would fly planes into buildings by taking the fight tk them.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the perfect foil for FOX News. She's attractive enough for television, dumb enough to keep running her mouth on camera, and as a result is a quote machine for the Right's political aparatus. She's the gift that's going to keep on giving all the way through 2020.

If you hang out on reddit message boards that do a lot of complaining about "SJW's" and such, you might imagine the reason is that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a moron that Republicans want to make the symbol of the Democratic party because it is in their advantage.

The problem with that narrative is that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her social media team just constantly dunk on terrible attempts at criticizing her emanating from right wing media's obsession with her. It makes her look good in the eyes of anyone with still functioning brain cells. Fox is her best PR firm. They make her look razor sharp. But the powers that be there don't have to be intelligent. If that's their aim, then that's their aim.

Personally, I think some of the early coverage of her in right-wing media was aimed at using her as a strawman for what liberals think. I think from that a narrative developed that took on a life of its own irrespective of what the actual Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is like and snowballed from there. Now, though, she's the latest in a series of Emmanuel Goldsteins right-wing media has to function as a target of outrage and hatred. That's different from, but also related to being terrified.

I also don't think it hurts that she's attractive. You know those Fox exposes where they have announcers complain about the debauchery on display at Spring Break that they play over extensive footage of scantily clad young women doing debauched things at Spring Break? Where Fox tries to milk its audience's desire to feel self-righteous while also titillating them? I think there's a thread of that going on with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez too.

Hey, look. EA finally said something accurate. It's a shame one has to sift through piles of BS to find a corn nugget of truth once in a while. Sigh... I'm not infatuated with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I don't like her politics. I find it annoying that right-wing media makes her look good by providing a series of easy targets to dunk on. You could discover this obscure opinion of mine by searching my comments on her on this message board.

She's not a moron, though. And right-wing media criticisms of her are largely a mixture of dishonest and stupid. It does not follow from the fact that bad criticisms of her are bad that she must be great.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is awesome.

I can't think of a single GOP politician as smart as she.
