You could focus on that. I would choose to focus on the people mourning him in tight clusters, not wearing a mask. But that wouldn't be irony. I expect that.

This could become a super-spreader event. Not wearing a mask to an event like this is both personally and socially irresponsible. You would think that people living with the reality of a Pandemic for half a year would realize this. Can someone provide me with a logical reason NOT to wear a mask at such an event?

I can. most masks filter very little and only decrease your chances by a few percent, and even a very good mask might not be enough (due to the most slight of improper wearing) to save you in an indoor event without regard for social distancing. If you're already risking an indoor social event with zero social distancing, and most others aren't wearing masks, and the president is there and wearing a mask will be seen as a sign of weakness and lack of orthodoxy, then at that point it's better to go without the mask.

Trump isn't sick because he didn't wear a mask, he's sick because he convinced everyone else not to wear masks either.

If there were 100% mask compliance, then the chances would have been significantly better, even in the enclosed space, and so perhaps as an isolated instance, the pres. would have remained unscathed. However, across many instances, such as similar settings in movie theaters, even everyone wearing a mask is not enough.

Masks are fairly effective at reducing viral flow in the air from the person who is sick, but in enclosed areas with enough time people can still get a good exposure and end up getting sick.

How can you focus on the economy when 212,768 Americans who drove the economy are already dead and the man whom you claim to love, could die?

Because people need to work to survive and to prosper. I don't see Pres Trump saying oh let's put the country in the poorhouse so I don't catch COVID. He dearly loves the country and would probably rather be dead than see it in an economic depression.

From the perspective of the greater common good, the cure has been far worse than the disease ever could have been.

The fact that Trump has no regrets about fighting the shutdown even though it may have been better that the country were shutdown from his individual perspective proves your view of him is skewed. He loves the country and he loves his supporters.
