For those moved by Joe Rogan's defense of the deworming chemical Ivermectin, please consider alternatives and let's save the horses and pigs from the right-ring run on livestock medicines.

Joe repeated over and over that Ivermectin was effective against Covid "in vitro" and therefore, it should be taken seriously as a real treatment.

Here are some alternatives.
In this study, we screened the PRESTWICK CHEMICAL LIBRARY composed of 1,520 approved drugs in an infected cell-based assay. The robustness of the screen was assessed by the identification of drugs that already demonstrated in vitro antiviral effect against SARS-CoV-2. Thereby, 90 compounds were identified as positive hits from the screen and were grouped according to their chemical composition and their known therapeutic effect. Then EC50 and CC50 were determined for a subset of 15 compounds from a panel of 23 selected drugs covering the different groups. Eleven compounds such as macrolides antibiotics, proton pump inhibitors, antiarrhythmic agents or CNS drugs emerged showing antiviral potency with 2 < EC50 ≤ 20 µM. By providing new information on molecules inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 replication in vitro, this study provides information for the selection of drugs to be further validated in vivo.
Among these 90 hits, we identified drugs that previously demonstrated to inhibit in vitro the SARS-CoV2 replication. Accordingly, Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine13,14,15,16 were shown to limit in vitro SARS-CoV-2 replication with an Inh. Index of 1.35 and 1.43 respectively. In addition to chloroquine derivatives, two other hits are also currently evaluated in different clinical trials, namely Darunavir17 and Azythromycine18.
Here are some more "in vitro" success stories:

Remdesivir
Azithromycine
Spirámycin
Omeprazole
Alprostadil
Oxprenolol hydrochloride
Hydroxy-chloroquine
Clemizole hydrochloride
Spiperone
Arbidol
Dyclonine hydrochloride
Azit
Azithromycine
Spirámycin
Omeprazole
Alprostadil
Oxprenolol hydrochloride
Dolutegravir
Sulfadoxine
Quinidine 10 hydrochloride
Vonoprazan
Exemestane
Opipramol dihydrochloride
Dyclonine hydrochloride
Dolutegravir

If success "in vitro" is good enough to write a prescription, then lets spread the joy around and spare the farm animals of the world a whole lot of extra pain by raiding one of their most important medicines.

Holy COW!! 😂 Please stop with the nonsense. We are in Tractor Supply and Southern States (local feed stores) every week and Ivermectin paste is always on the shelf.

Joe Rogan claims that ivermectin has been shown to inhibit Sars-Cov-2 in vitro.
Rogan claims that ivermectin is a drug prescribed for humans.

He is right about both.

Tl;dr - there’s a 24-fold increase in demand for invermectin

Cultellus,

Cultellus,

When you're shooting guns with your friends, do they ever bring up vaccination? Are any of these folks unvaccinated and do they make suggestions regarding the use of Ivermectin? How do you handle situations like these, assuming such situations arise?

A-Mike,

Just because there isn't a shortage in your area doesn't mean its not happening other places. I'm happy that this isn't a universal problem and that the animals in your area are getting their medicines.

Arizona is having a tough time. Even Fox news says so.

We talked about girlfriends, guns, kids, grandkids, daughters in law, sons in law, the Giants, Dodgers and Red Sox. We talked about the fire department, sheet metal prices, custom guns, reloading, boat tail bullets.
That's great to hear. don't be afraid to be a force for good and promote vaccination, and dissuade the use of Ivermectin for treading Covid-19, should these topics arise among your gun friends.

When information from sites like this becomes too difficult to navigate, or it's too much work to try to get something done with a remote doctor, then the feed store is looking like a good option.
Until ivermectin’s use as both a preventive and treatment agent are more widely accepted or recommended, many physicians will be reluctant to prescribe.

If your doctor will not prescribe ivermectin for you, please contact one of the providers listed below.
