And you're dumb enough to think that's a racial slur.

Conservative, or populist race baiting at its best.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negro#United_StatesThe word Negro fell out of favor by the early 1970s. However, many older African Americans initially found the term black more offensive than Negro.
The term Negro is still used in some historical contexts, such as the songs known as Negro spirituals, the Negro leagues of baseball in the early and mid-20th century, and organizations such as the United Negro College Fund.

Negro, Afro-American, African American and Black, all have been used without prejudice in my lifetime. When thinking about Satchel Paige, you think of him as one of the greatest players in the NEGRO leagues. It is not a huge jump to call a great Negro League player a Negro.
"Satchel Paige was the best and fastest pitcher I ever faced." That wasn't Negro Leaguer Josh Gibson. That was Joe DiMaggio.
So when you think the appropriate reaction to Biden using the word 'negro' is a string of emojis, consider the words of Mr. Paige:
Ain't no man can avoid being born average, but there ain't no man got to be common.

Yeah, it's got to be triggering to the Trumptards that a democrat can say "negro" without it being a racist slur like the way they want to use it.Father Francis wrote: βFri Nov 12, 2021 7:07 amConservative, or populist race baiting at its best.

I never used to be bothered by words outside of certain situations. The thing is, the conservatives have figured out the connection between words and feelings. Feelings supersede logic. That's what has helped them overwhelm the "moderates" and eliminate any progressive thought from polluting their system. Logic and reason are shut down and have been for decades. The oil people knew about climate change decades ago just as the tobacco people knew about lung cancer. Who cares? There's money to be made...

It is incredible that you are so misinformed about history and even current affairs that you actually thought Biden's use of the word "negro" was or intended as a racial slur, especially in that context.Tinfoilhat wrote: βThu Nov 11, 2021 11:40 pmhttps://youtu.be/uHKNm4X3c_E

It appears that there is virtually nothing a Democrat or progressive can say or do that right-wing Republicans (especially Trump voters) will not try to spin into something derogatory or evil. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if some of them might even try to trash or condemn motherhood and good old apple pie because they heard Democrats or progressives express approval of them.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
