The FU COVID Thread

Screw you, COVID. Christ, I'm sick of this crap.
At first, it was the health risk, thousands of people dying, and the lack of supplies. Then the shut downs happened, you couldn't travel, the housing market goes insane, inflation, and now, there are delays in ordering practically anything. I can actually imagine a short revival in brick and mortar retail sales, given how everything you order these days takes way longer than usual.
We bought furniture in the beginning of September that still hasn't arrived. I bought a TV in mid January that apparently won't be here till March now, and that's if it isn't delayed yet again. I wish I had a truck so I could have gone to the damned store and just picked the damned thing up and brought it home myself.
Screw you, COVID. And “F” all you imbeciles who won't get vaccinated for idiotic reasons to keep this thing going longer than necessary. You're all damned morons, and you deserve to choke on COVID.
This was a necessary rant brought to you because of morons and assholes spreading misinformation.

Has anyone on this board gotten COVID? And if so, were you vaccinated or unvaccinated?

Are medical workers who are vaccinated themselves, but lie about vaccines to get more overtime pay at their job also included?

Hi Gad, how have you been? I have four trucks in my driveway right now. Do you need anything from the store? Proof of vaccination is not required.

I'm not aware of this. You can make more as a medical worker by lying about vaccines? How does this work?

Let's say you are a nurse. With all the unvaccinated clogging up hospitals, nurses will tend to work greater than 40 hour weeks and get paid overtime for that. More people dying = more money.

Oh, so you're saying there are nurses out there spreading misinformation about the vaccine (even though they took it themselves) just so the hospitals will be more busy? I'd be surprised if that's the case, but I can imagine a few crazies doing it, I suppose. I was under the impression most healthcare workers were feeling overworked and burnt out.
But if there are nurses like that, yes, they can go “F” themselves too.

But nurses do not get paid more if the morgues are full. The logic here needs a bit more work. Also, the nurses do not get paid by the sick people, they get paid by the hospital, so we should probably work that into the logic string as well.

Yes. What are the names of these nurses? We need to find them and let them know that they can “F” themselves. Who did this?

A little sensitive eh?
Are you a nurse?
Yes, nurses get paid when mortuaries are full. Hospitals being full and mortuaries being full are not mutually exclusive outcomes.
Nurses get paid by the hospital and sick people (or their delegates) pay the hospital. Full hospital = full billfold for a nurse.
Nurses have every bit the vested financial interest in a hospital being full of sick people as Moderna employees have in people taking the vaccine.
If a nurse lies profusely about vaccine effectiveness, then we really have to look at how vaccines are ultimately hurting their bottom line.
