"Riots in the streets" if Trump indicted

This was Lindsay Graham's warning to the DOJ if they decided to prosecute the disgraced former President.
Now, how is this not a tacit admission that the entire base is violent? I mean, why would anyone but Republicans be rioting over this?
For years they tried to insist it was only the Leftists and ANTIFA who resort to violence, but since that time it has become clear the opposite is true. First you had all those counter-protesters starting trouble during peaceful BLM protests, and then you get Boogaloo types killing cops in California, and then you get a right wing mob planning to kidnap and murder a sitting Governor. Then January 6th happens, and now it seems like Republicans don't even want to pretend anymore about being peaceful. Graham's remarks were a direct threat to our democracy and he should be removed from office for making them. Totally unfit for office to be making idiotic statements like this, all for what? You save his golfing buddy from being held accountable for his crimes.

One argument I've seen which feeds this even as it excuses it, is that the pent up frustration with the lack of credibility on the part of government is driving it. The more conspiracy brained types even see it as deliberate provocation like we saw in the recent thread where Culty simmered over the Michigan governor kidnapping plot as an entrapment of some otherwise nonviolent folks whose numbers were inflated by informants to make it seem more dangerous. The outrage and risk of violence is seen as unfortunate but understandable because the elites bring it on themselves. Bear-poking analogies, oppressed masses narratives are all part of it.
Why view it as deliberate provocation? Because it justifies those in power tightening their hold, further enslaving the everyman. It's all part of the system used to keep people in line, suppressed, unable to stand on their own.
ETA: I realized yet again I need to clarify I don't hold those views.
What you don't see from them is any realization that there is manipulation in the aggregation of conspiracy thinkers into the core of GOP thinking. Give them an elite to hate, a reason to imagine they are the ones seeing the world for the way it is, and a direction and they storm off in that direction unreflective of how easily their being "against" rather than for anything was a bit in their mouths that easily steered them.

What do you call a couple million two-year-olds crying and screaming because they didn't get candy and mom and dad won't let them stay up late?
hint, it's not a revolution.

Graham is a Cocaine Mitch guy. He is not a Trump guy at all. Not even a little bit.

2 of those idiots were acquitted on the grounds of entrapment. In other words, kidnapping the governor was the idea presented by the undercover federal agents. Now the same immoral partisan left wing FBI chief who oversaw and directed this entrapment overreach is the same chief who has been transferred from Detroit to D.C. and using the same partisan weaponization of the justice department to go after Donald Trump. In what nonpartisan world does a chief of police guilty of directing and ordering entrapment as determined by a court of law and then get promoted for the purpose of going after Biden's next political opponent?
You better cheat on this next election every which way you can. If Republicans ever take back congress or the presidency, those same big government guns that you have built to go after your political opponents are going to be turned on you.

Yep.
No clue how this turns out but it is fair to say that the FBI, DOJ and CIA appear to have chosen to play politics and bury their integrity in a warm pile of crap for now. They may get some fake ass convictions from entrapping dummies and playing election interference games but uh, to what end?
That said. When one is triggered by Lindsey Graham, well, LMFAO, that is the story.

… [FranksA] would counter defense claims that the group was entrapped by undercover agents and informants.
Franks said he connected online with the Wolverine Watchmen, a self-styled militia group, in spring 2020, attended a protest and soon learned how to download an encrypted messaging app “to conceal discussion of illegal activity,” according to his plea agreement.
The others facing trial are Adam Fox, who is described as a ringleader, Barry Croft Jr., Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta.
“During all their months of training together, (Franks) never heard Fox, Croft, Harris or Caserta say they were doing anything because” informants had pushed for it, the plea agreement states.
Green asked Franks about the construction of a “shoot house” during firearm training.
It was a “mock-up of the governor’s home,” Franks replied.
They also talked about assaulting the Michigan State Capitol, but they decided that was too risky. So they allegedly settled on a different plan. Plan was this kidnapping plot. So they scouted out the mansion, were putting together homemade bombs, and were planning how to dispose of the governor’s body all with the intent of preventing Biden’s election.
Who woulda thunk Ajax would take the “they were good boys” who “didn’t do anything” and it was just a “misunderstanding” tactic.
