Fascinating (and terrifying) read, Res. Thanks for posting.
Wearing a gray suit and an exasperated look, he wanted to make something categorically clear: Neither he nor his wife were guilty of murdering or cannibalizing young children.
O brave new world, That has such people in't.

Nicholas Rossi, an American who has been accused of faking his death and escaping to Scotland to evade rape charges in Utah, posted videos in which he accused Leavitt and his wife of leading a “ritual sex abuse cult.” Leavitt was overseeing an effort to extradite and prosecute Rossi.
As evidence for his claims, Rossi posted a 151-page statement, made a decade ago by an unnamed woman as part of a criminal case against a therapist that was later dismissed. That statement — which NBC News obtained via public records request to the Provo police department — included gory allegations of sexual abuse and mass murder from the 1980s and ʼ90s perpetrated not just by the therapist, but by more than a dozen other members of the Provo community, including David Leavitt and his wife. In a phone interview, Rossi, who posted the document to his now-defunct website, Zeus News Now, declined to share how he learned about or obtained the document.
ironically, he could have learned about the document here. A couple years back, several posters here put considerable effort into reviving this issue, and tried to argue for the legitimacy of that very statement. To our credit, many others here disputed the document and dismissed it as an inflammatory and illogical document, containing very little credibility.

Yet another example of religion making people dumber.
I'd love just one example... ONE, of a religion making someone smarter, but that's like asking for an egg yoke that lowers cholesterol.

Mormons could always blame this on the deleterious effects of Republicanism.

It's awful that so many people were willing to accuse Leavitt and his wife of such awful things based on the word of rapist whose motivation was obviously to escape extradition from Sweden to avoid just prosecution by Leavitt for his crime. Did Rossi eventually succeed in avoiding that extradition and being brought to trial for the rape?
It's also awful that there are self-proclaimed conservatives who feel that their conservative views are so important that even falsely accusing innocent people who don't share them of pedophilia and Satanic abuse is permissible in order to defeat them. Such despicable false accusations in order to defend their "sacred" conservatism is every bit as evil as what they falsely accuse their less conservative opponents of doing!

The extradition is still pending. A hearing on the suspect’s identity is scheduled for October, with the full hearing in November.

Jews make up about 0.2% of the population, and at least 20% of Nobel Price winners.
Unless there's something with the genetics, that possibly leaves one other primary factor.
Now, go forth and get your post-Talmudic game on.

The Jews must be doing the voting.
More power to them.
