Special Halloween Plans?

Post by Kishkumen »

We aren't doing anything special. Just staying in and receiving our spooky callers. We may watch a horror show or two. Probably going to order pizza. I set out the Halloween decorations. Definitely going to visit the local awesomely decorated Halloween yard!

Just to scare Trumpy idiots out there, I delivered my ballot to a dropbox today.

What are your plans?

We never get Trick or treaters, so popcorn and a horror movie or two is the plan.

Any idea what you’ll watch?

Oh, if anyone is looking for dark background music, check out Atrium Carceri. Lots of his stuff is on YouTube.

One of my kids is our Horror movie curator. He’ll come up with something.

We watched the first episode of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities last night. I really liked it. I think a couple episodes of that would make for solid a Halloween viewing.

Great show! The first episode was really quite good. Exactly the kind of occult and Lovecraftian elements I enjoy.

Have a wonderful Halloween!

We are on for our annual tradition that involved a block party. It started informally years ago due to many of the neighbors sitting outside to meet trick or treaters. A few of us started to congregate in one driveway. We started bringing chips and snacks. Then I started pulling the grill over, some brought games, and now it's a tradition. We get maybe two dozen kids who aren't from the street. But it's fun. Plus it's kinda nice to offer a burger to parents who have been walking around with kids and nothing but sugar to fuel the quest.

Wonderful tradition, honor! I wish I lived near you and could drop by.

Our neighborhood has an annual pizza party to start off the trick or treating roughly around 6:30pm in a cul-de-sac. There are 97 homes in our neighborhood and just about everyone gets involved with the holiday traditions.
