Seems like an important news story we've been waiting years for...

Well, no surprise here. Virtually everything the Left had been saying about his tax returns proved to be true, and then some.

Oh, and there is no evidence he "donated" his Presidential salary to anything.

Apparently at least one of his foreign bank accounts was in China, too.

The kind of people who are principled enough to find fault with Trump's behavior are already not fans of his. People without morals find his behavior acceptable.

I say this because stories like this determined the kind of person you were 6 years ago.

Trump fans don't care at all what crimes and scams he perpetuates, so long as he hates the same people that they do. If he went back to his moderate Republican roots, they would be the most zealous to call for his imprisonment.

There is an important take home message that transcends Trump. By trying to starve the IRS of finding, Republicans have made it nearly impossible to audit the returns of the ultra-rich. Trump’s business activities are represented by over 400 separate business entities, whose profits and losses flow into his 1040. The IRS didn’t have the resources to permit the mandatory review of the President’s returns, only trying to initiate the process after a Congressional committee began demanding copies of the returns.

So, the IRS has the resources to go after the middle-sized and small fish. The ultra-rich go unaudited. All it would take to reverse this is to give the IRS the tools it needs to go after the rich guys flush with lawyers and direct it to concentrate on the big fish.

“On that very first day that we’re sworn in, you’ll see that it all changes. Because on our very first bill, we’re going to repeal 87,000 IRS agents." ~Kevin McCarthy

ETA: According to CBPP (not the most unbiased source), audits of millionaires have fallen 71% since 2010.

It's tough to build a functional government when one of the two major political parties is dedicated to destroying it.
