“Let’s dissect the cautionary tale delivered to young women about ‘hitting the wall;’ a horror story of love, rejection, fear, revenge, and wrinkles. The ‘wall’ is a new term; the concept is centuries old.
Society teaches women to fear the passage of time. One day, they warn young women, you will grow old. You will age, gain weight, your boobs will drop, and wrinkles will take over your face. This is the ‘wall’, and depending on who you speak to, the age women reach it varies. Different men say the age is 25, 30, or 40.
This is a popular topic among ‘red pill’ communities, MGTOW members, incels, and similar internet hangouts. The umbrella term for groups like this is the ‘manosphere.’ Society fed this tired old trope to women, long before the internet existed. Ladies, you’ve heard the spiel: don’t be too picky, settle down while you’re young, beautiful, and fertile. Otherwise, you’ll miss your chance to get a man and have babies with him. If you miss this window of opportunity, you’ll be alone in life, unloved, and worthless. That stern finger wags in our faces: ‘you’ll regret everything, one day, young lady!’
…Certain Gen Z men have levelled a new accusation toward women… They complain young women are going wild… Then, when women want to marry and have children, it’s too late for them to meet a good guy, because they’ve hit the dreaded wall.
…Why does this theory persist?
One word: rejection. What we’re dealing with is a bunch of guys with hurt feelings because a woman (or women) dared to turn down their advances. If a guy lacks the maturity to take rejection, the wall becomes a comforting revenge fantasy…”
