This is a complaint which could invite different views if such exist. I watched Law and Order the other night and was puzzled. The story was about a young student whose friend bought marijuana at the dispensary (medical in New York) What the fellow took caused a psychotic break where he went about throwing rocks at windows untill a window caretaker confronted him. In a paranoid fit he beat the fellow to death. The story follows the prosecutors struggle to realize the truthfulness of this defense.
It even included a scene where the students school advisor, with a mane of curly hair, said oh hes a good kid , it was the marijuana made him crazy. I thought for a couple of minutes that the story would discover the steroid use or that the advisor was the meth source but no it was demon pot. (stronger now than back sometime)
I associate this with conservative politics but maybe it is not. Many conservatives are familiar with pot from their youth. Law and Order has leaned pretty left in its stories recently. I wonder if producers the felt an alternate lean was needed sometimes.
Though I have lost interest pretty much in pot, I have tried what is sold in the dispensary, pot is the same thing as it was in the past.

Re: reefer madness
I’m aware of the current moral panic over fentanyl, but any return of Reefer Madness is news to me.

Partly in the show's defense, edible potency has gotten out of control.

Re: reefer madness
Accidental consumption of edibles sounds like a legitimate public health issue. Maybe it sass been hyped into a moral panic. Common sense should dictate that edibles should be secured from access by children just like alcohol, medicine, poisons, and guns.
Besides, given the choice, would a kid prefer edibles to free rainbow fentanyl from their trick or treat bags?

I’m surprised that’s not regulated.

ETA: It is in Washington, but I have no idea what limits mean in terms of potency. https://apps.leg.Washington.gov/wac/default.asp ... 314-55-095

Re: reefer madness
taking too much pot can definitely create confusion and fear. It is just that violent action it completely out of place from all I have heard, seen or experienced.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 6:44 pmETA: It is in Washington, but I have no idea what limits mean in terms of potency. https://apps.leg.Washington.gov/wac/def ... 314-55-095

One thing about strength should be well known but sometimes forgotten is people build up tolerance quickly so what may to one person be a pleasant dose could leave somebody else going oh boy oh boy what did I do to myself?
