Progressive conservatism is a real thing . It dates back 150 years, through such ranting leftists as Otto von Bismarck and Winston Churchill, and has governed First World countries in recent years.

Let's counteract all the threads criticising conservatives with a few threads looking into the drawbacks of the progressive movement. Who would like to post first?

One drawback of the progressive movement has been a very strong erosion of trust between police and the community. In the quest to right the wrongs committed by a few bad police officers, entire cities erupted in riots and throwing things at police stations and officers. My local police were treated especially poorly, despite not being involved in the George Floyd incident at all. They’ve since decided to “check out” and protest by doing the minimum work required. The community has suffered greatly because a few loud progressive rioters thought it would be fun to go stand outside the police station and berate good officers for weeks on end.

The progressive movement needs to be more careful about how they go about advocating for change. Even if they have the right ideas, those ideas can be expressed very poorly.
