It’s a simple question; does the church consider gay married Mormons to be in apostasy? The LDS apologist says he doesn’t know.

Apparently the whiplash of a 2015 policy saying they were, and a 2019 reversal saying they aren’t has left even LDS apologists in a confused daze.

This could explain the current fiasco where bishops seem to have no direction about what to do with gay Mormons. Is this confusion intentional? The church leaders want to hide the true doctrine like they did with polygamy and reinstate it when the political/social situation in the world allows for it?

The LDS apologist in this video is named Travis Anderson. He is good buddies with Robert Boylan. He runs a Facebook page called "The Cavalry." It's a group for current Mormon missionaries to learn how to do mopologetics. He regularly engages in rhetorical ignorance to try to get his interlocutor to prove something is LDS doctrine or to avoid an uncomfortable topic with the goal of dominating a conversation. Anderson is vehemently anti-homosexual in his own writings and he claims the church is too but in this video he is just playing a game. He said in The Cavalry group his goal for engaging with these Evangelicals was to make sure they could spend as little time as possible talking to other Mormons. There is a longer version of this video which Anderson recorded himself. He loses his temper at the end and calls the Evangelical guys "goobers."

Anderson also tells the Missionaries in "The Cavalry" not to tell church leaders about the group. The reason he gives is because he, Boylan, and the others running the group are more educated about the church than the Bishops or missionary presidents so they don't want to end up at odds with other priesthood holders. Its strange.

No, my meter is not off. Here's the proof:

The poem apparently attempts to be written in anapestic tetrameter, which is two unstressed syllables followed by a stressed syllable, four times per line. With a dash as an unstressed syllable and an asterisk as a stressed one, each line should read like this: --*--*--*--* (as in, "'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house"). Let's read it out loud and see what we get:
