Even LDS apologists are confused about LGBT church policy

It’s a simple question; does the church consider gay married Mormons to be in apostasy? The LDS apologist says he doesn’t know.

Apparently the whiplash of a 2015 policy saying they were, and a 2019 reversal saying they aren’t has left even LDS apologists in a confused daze.
This could explain the current fiasco where bishops seem to have no direction about what to do with gay Mormons. Is this confusion intentional? The church leaders want to hide the true doctrine like they did with polygamy and reinstate it when the political/social situation in the world allows for it?
