Which of the following possibilities would you enthusiastically support:
1. Red states set aside the popular vote to send Trump electors to the electoral ballot count.
2. Trump runs for a third term because he had a break between his two terms.
3. Trump pardons J6 insurrectionists.
4. Trump fires everyone in the Executive Branch and replaces them with his own people.
More to come . . . .

Some of these hyperbolic scenarios seem to me a little distracting from what Trump is actually doing to damage our democracy.
For example, he is unlikely to replace everyone in the executive branch. But he doesn’t have to, even the more limited proposals he could realistically accomplish would be detrimental.
Why can’t we stick closer to reality in our criticisms of Trump?

Hey, drumdude, you are free to do whatever the eff you want, mister. You can even continue to board nanny my posts as you are here. I want to give people the opportunity to reassure everyone that they do not want some of the more extreme speculations about Trump to happen. I think that is actually a good thing. Then we can get down to what they actually do approve of in the course of discussion.
And, guess what? I made this thread! So, I will keep it as I want it to be for the purposes I stated here.
I will give you this. He obviously will not fire the people who swear loyalty to him as chief executive. Why would he fire
those folks?

He also says what he needs to in the moment to get his face in the news or to rile up his base. How far does he actually go IF he's in a place where he's more or less already getting what he wants?
I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon who wouldn't be that bad or that he's American's Hitler. How's that for discouraging.

I do not believe that a Trump win is a forgone conclusion. He has his core of low-information MAGA base, and that is not going to change. But those numbers will not get him elected. It is still four months to the election. A lot can happen, and the reality of what four years of an unhinged dictator would look like will start to loom large. I don't trust the polls or the talking heads. Two years ago they predicted the red wave. They were wrong. The incumbent Trump lost the last election. Since then he has staged revote, been convicted of 34 felonies and rape, and continues to lie every time he opens his mouth. He didn't have the votes then and I doubt he will have the votes in November.

He has his core of low-information MAGA base.
Explain this.
What is a high-information MAGA base? What is a high-information Democrat base? What is a low-information democrat base?
