I predict that Biden exits the race, and that Harris is the nominee. Then, my final prediction: Trump 47.

That is all.

In an odd turn of events, Biden has been quoted as saying that the only way he'd drop out of the race was if a doctor diagnosed him with an illness that would prevent him from running for office.

Biden has just been diagnosed with Covid 19.

Hang on to that cliff, folks!

Harris simply because traditionally the VP gets their shot next? Or because she is the best qualified candidate?

I doubt many are very excited about the thought of Harris running.

I predict that Biden exits the race
95%
and that Harris is the nominee.
If the process is deemed important, I would say very likely, but I would not be surprised if she wasn't.
]my final prediction: Trump 47.
If he's still alive, 80%

Unfortunately for Kamala Harris, she sounds like Kamala Harris when she talks.

This does her absolutely no favors.

I couldn't stop laughing at this lampoon of her:

My spouse let me know about an hour after I posted that. For a moment, I felt psychic. Then I remembered that he is in his 80s.

It looks good for the Trump camp at the moment, for sure.

Whatever it takes to be president, I don’t think she has it. Suetonius called the unquantifiable charismatic quality of an emperor quasi maiestas quaedam, or “a certain majesty, so to speak.” This quality is not limited to a gender or a bloodline, in Roman thought. It might be more like a touch of magic, or something. A sense that one is bound to win. Trump has it, regardless of the fact that he is in fact really bad at most things he attempts. It is rather that his failure hardly touches him but shoots down everything around him that is his magic.

Not that interested politicians (Trump or Trump camp included) - I would say that it looks really good for the American people at the moment.
