Media is capitalizing on his current isolation and silence to ratchet up the rhetoric to make us feel unsure and induce panic.

I don't think we can ever be sure of where the so-called leaks are coming from and if the Democrats ARE leaking out actual unsteadiness in the party and interactions that took place privately, then I hate to say it but they don't have the professional smarts of a preschool director.

Didn't someone (Lichtman?) say that Democrats don't have a spine? Yeah, that.

Until we hear from Biden himself, the media can straight up shove their drama.

Even though Pete Buttigieg is decidedly smarter than the rest, besides possessing the supreme quality of honesty (he is also young and healthy), Kishkumen has pointed out that he cannot win because he is gay.

Utah would probably secede from the Union if he won (not saying that is the lone reason to vote for Buttigieg).

I watched the video and think it took a fair amount of courage to talk publicly about what is being said in the rooms where it happens. I think she is very aware that this could very well be detrimental to her political career. Kudos to her.

I wish that were not the case. I think he would make a great president. I would run to the polls to vote for him ANY TIME. But, are too many people in this country still bigoted enough to balk at the prospect of voting for him? I am afraid that may well be the case. This is strong, bad-tasting medicine, but I think it is true:

Many African-Americans who are religious do not have tolerant views of LGBTQIA+ people and issues. This problem would trim away some traditional Democratic support.

Many people who are not religious still have problems with homosexuality because of the era in which they were raised. I am sad to say this is probably true of many people of my generation (X), who grew up in a time when the use of slurs against homosexuals was not just common but popular. Boomers even more so. There are tons of Boomers out there.

The Right seems to be very galvanized by gender issues, so they would be particularly motivated to vote against Buttigieg.
