Paul VanderKlay: a guy that I have watched on YouTube over the last few years. A Christian Reformed Pastor in Northern California.
It seems he is mostly interested in modern Christianity and how it interacts with culture, but also has a vast knowledge of historical Christianity. Politics don't really interest him as thoughts attributed Christianity and Culture do as one can see in all his other podcasts. Today he does talk about current politics and politics and religion 100 years ago.

Paul VanderKlay recent podcast about JD Vance and his conversion to the Catholic Church. Mormons and Catholics are mentioned throughout the one-hour broadcast.
He talks about Vance's early life and his life with Evangelical church but like many left because it didn't appeal to him. It was in Law School at Yale that he encountered Mormons and Catholics. He thought maybe he could be successful and embrace faith like these two groups did.
Why did Trump become a Republican and what type of Republican would he be?
Democrats traditionally have been inner city and labor
Republicans have been elite and conservative.
Middle Class and Striver Class. Vance would be in the Striver class.
He has been studying about the Catholic Church, especially during WW2. Mussolini and the King of Italy and the Pope.
Catholic leadership 100 years ago thought democracy was a Kabbalist conspiracy by the Protestants, Jews and Masons.
The appeal of fascism 100 years ago: a strong power to the Catholic church. They want their old power back.
Hitler and Mussolini telling the Pope that they are treating the Jews just like the Catholic Church has treated them.
Boomorality? embraced by Biden and Pelosi - Catholics in good standing but it is dying out.
Trump got his inspiration from Norman Vincent Peel's The Power of Positive Thinking. Trump will sell you a Bible but doesn't live by it.
The Democratic Party is so different today than the Party of the 1960s.
The Republic Party is so different today than - than the Party was before Trump.
Throughout the podcast when he thinks of Trump he laughs. I'm sure Paul VanderKlay is like Sam Harris who just thinks he's an uncle who has these crazy views he expresses at the dinner table during a yearly Thanksgiving meal.
As an afterthought to me, VanderKlay's little clips about pronatalism and Boomorality had me watching them again and again to try to figure out what their message was.
