Regretting my vote.

Think perhaps I was wrong to vote labour. It's a bit concerning. I feel like we are heading for some serious unrest.

Pirate, what do you think of Elon Musk stoking the far-right riots by saying that civil war in the UK is inevitable? Also with his X platform being a communication device for British rioters?

Hey Pirate,

I hope cooler heads will prevail and things don't continue to escalate.

Should Trump win our upcoming election (if he's still breathing come November) and I think he probably will - I am more than a little concerned about serious unrest here in the US as well.

Ceeboo, do mean you're afraid of something like what happened on 6 Jan 2020?

I don't follow Elon musk. But seeing that people are having a go at voters and blaming them, the planned protests coming up, the recent riots... It doesn't feel good. If people blame each other instead of the government and things are as bad as the look, I wouldn't be surprised if we head towards a civil war, an online one for sure.

Starmer is upsetting lots of people on all sides of the fence. There are petitions going around to get him out. I saw that a protest is planned for the coming weeks. If that is by the EDL then it's bound to go OTT. People are heckling him. He has come in and made big decisions without discussion. And yes, big decisions need to be made, but he is going after the wrong people. He is very much leading the wrong party, he is more like a Tory than the actual Tories.

He is about to raise taxes, take away single person tax discount, take away winter heat allowance for pensioners. Yet his heating gets paid for him no doubt and his clothes apparently, he avoided tax. Just ridiculous. I'm starting to wonder if it's part of a plan and if someone else is pulling the strings. I'm not a huge fan of trusting conspiracy theories but I just don't get it. These people are supposed to be educated and smart but it's like they get into power and everything the said goes out the window.

The media is being freaky at the moment. This is why I avoid it usually. They are talking about Russia coming after the UK. The amount of fear mongering is unreal and I don't know what is real and what isn't in the world out there.

Rather than assume, I want to make sure I am understanding you - Are you suggesting that you're losing trust in the UK media? Or am I way off?

Ah, thank you, Pirate. I can see that I have some reading to do.
