Controversial pastor and son of Bill Graham the evangelist has not passed away. I thought I saw a show reporting that but it was just a summary of his life. He has been a conservative in regards to abortion and gay marriage. He has supported GOP candidates for President. Recently he was upset when the Democratic party did an anti-Trump ad using footage from some of Billy Graham's public statements.

I saw an interview where Piers Morgan questioned him as to whether he would allow a daughter of his who was raped by an immigrant to have an abortion.
Umm, you forgot to tell us what his response was.
Most evangelicals would believe that he has gone to be with Jesus now. His father established Fuller Seminary in California. I know and had read some books by a philosopher/theologian Nancy Murphy who as editor of the book Whatever Happened to the Soul? does not believe in the existence of the soul but believes in the resurrection of the body on Judgement Day. So, in her view, Franklin will sleep in the ground until the resurrection.
Does anyone give a damn what Nancy Murphy thinks?

I'm seeing nothing to this effect.

Yeah please maybe you can modify your thread title here. I myself strongly disagree with his position re: Trump however he is a major figure among EVs and his work with Samaritan's Purse is outstanding. My own community benefitted greatly from his relief efforts and services provided by Samaritan's Purse.

He also likes Putin and probably Kim Jong Un. Trust the newspapers to post his obituary when he dies.

What Nancy Murphy thinks: and Shades I care.

1 Humans are composed of one “part’ a physical body (materialism/physicalism).
2. Humans are composed of two parts:
2.a A body and a soul.
2.b A body and mind (dualism).
3. Humans are composed of three parts: body, soul and spirit (trichotomism).
4. Humans are composed of one “part” : a spiritual/mental substance (idealism).
5. Who Cares? Which of the following comes

Nancy Murphy Bodies and Souls, or Spirited bodies. pp.2-3.

"For most of human history, we have cherished the idea that there is a separate immaterial part of each of us – a mind or a soul that must live somewhere in our body. That has gradually changed with the advent of scientific approaches to mind-body relations. We now view the mind as a functional property of the brain, not 'something located somewhere.' The mind is a firmly embodied process within the brain, rather like a program that runs within a computer. However, can the same sort of embodiment be presumed for what we traditionally call the soul?" p. 24 Neuroscience, Psychology, and Religion, Malcolm Jeeves and Warren S Brown Templeton, Foundation Press, 2009.

Those are all contradictory. She can't believe all of them.
