You guys, I've been listening to Sen. Adam Schiff's youtube channel for the past week. I'm finding it very informative (not performative) and helpful to me. I appreciate his straight to-the-point talk. I know that many or most of you know about all of these processes he's discussing at the link below, but I sure don't. He's become part of my ongoing political learning. Never too late to learn, I say!

- Rein in the national debt
- Protect Medicaid
- Keep Social Security offices open
- Support families on food assistance
- Secure the right to organize
- Block tax cuts for billionaires
- Stand with Ukraine
- Secure veterans' health care

They're stealing from the working class, giving to the rich, and destroying your benefits in the process.

And the night is still young.

I haven't seen everything Adam Schiff has presented yet, but I definitely support what I have seen and heard of what he is saying. And I agree that blocking the above list of amendments is despicable. I would like to believe that even a majority of Republican voters would feel the same way if they knew that the people they voted for have done this. I also suspect that a significant number of the Republicans legislators who voted to block those amendments would not have done so had it not been for cowardly fear of Trump.

I'm kind of using him as part teacher, part news source. His videos are typically on the short side and easy to understand for someone like me who is a novice at understanding politics. Don't get me wrong, I understand motives. I just don't know what resources politicians have that allows them to pull strings.

Determining Motive: Pretty good.
Weapon: Not so hot.
