Posting an A.I. image of himself as the Pope. Has the White House lost their freaking mind? Who does this? Are there any other world leaders publicly posting images of themselves as the Pope? How much more disrespectful to Catholics can Trump be?
There are very few things that sour me on people I barely know. Voting for Trump is one of those things. Any person who of their own free will voted for this insane fool will have a very difficult time earning my trust and respect. It could be that they never will.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”
Wow. This is incredible. This is what the president of the United States does, late at night. What an embarrassment for our country. I thought the reporter in the Oval office, asking a leader of another country if he even owned a suit was horrifying, but this even goes beyond that. We will never recover.
Former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele, a Catholic and television commentator, raised questions about the president’s competence.
During this period of Novemdiales (mourning the loss of Pope Francis) I’ll set this offense aside because Trump in his narcissism gets off on our being offended. More to the point, this affirms how unserious and incapable he is. At 78 he remains a 10yo child, emotionally scarred and broken while desperate to prove he could be somebody. His problem: he can’t grow up to prove it.
By the way, novemdiales is an ancient, pre-Christian Roman tradition for mourning the dead. That continuity with antiquity is pretty cool, in my opinion!

No doubt. I'm actually grateful when I find out someone voted for Trump, because it's someone I know to ignore without having to find out the hard way I should ignore.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

As I like to repeat on occasion, one of my favorite hobbies these days is blocking Trumpers on Facebook. That is one space where I don't want to have to mingle with them, and damn if it doesn't feel really rewarding to pluck them out of my Facebook existence.
